Island Games (Ansam Nou Gagne)
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations …” Matthew 28:18
Mauritius is blessed to be filled with different ethnic groups and to have an honor to welcome even more nations coming to our island this year!
Mauritius has hosted ‘Island Games’ (19th – 28th of July), where 7 islands of the Indian Ocean came together for various sport competitions. The Games were created by the International Olympic Committee in 1977 and currently gather the island nations of Mauritius, Seychelles, Comoros, Madagascar, Mayotte, Reunion and the Maldives.
We are blessed to be involved in the facilitation of a National Partnership of churches and Christian organizations called ‘Ansam Nou Gagne’ (Together we win) which has as vision to see ‘Nations will be filled with the hope and love of Christ, transformed and discipled to serve Him’ and as mission to ‘Reach nations for Christ as one body through Sport Ministry’.
Praise the Lord as many Christians from various denominations and nationalities were able to pray & witness Christ together through various activities (such as Outreach trainings, Chaplaincy, artistic outreach, sport clinics, inter-denominational celebrations and prayer meetings, prayer walks, etc.) in malls, beach, football grounds, etc.
Please pray for this partnership of churches & Christian organizations as we are seeking together what are our future actions and how we can serve together in Love & Unity.
Global Leadership Summit
Once again we were able to be involved and to attend GLS and learn more about leadership. We felt equipped and inspired through this conference, having an opportunity to build relationships with many Christians involved in various businesses and fields and looking now into possibilities of facilitating partnerships among them.
Please keep Christian leaders in your prayers.

Praise and Worship partnership – Pentecost
Through the Praise & Worship partnership which we, along with others, have chance to facilitate, many Christians from various denominations were able to do Praise & Worship workshops and a big celebration on Pentecost Day with thousands of Christians who came to praise the Lord together. Our God is amazing!
We were much involved with the ‘Working Committee for Unity of Christians’ to organize the week for Unity of Christians (18-25 January) during which we had various prayer meetings in different locations around Mauritius. And on the Sunday national gathering, Jeremy was coordinating few workshops and activities and Anastasia was leading drama workshop. Through all these meetings, Christians from various denominations were able to work together and to build relationships for potential future partnerships. We were also blessed to have the Retreat for Christian Unity (4-6 October 2019) which gathered again for a weekend brothers and sisters in Christ from different denominations.

In September 2019 Mauritius was blessed to receive Pope Francis with a one day visit. Many Mauritians (of different religions) gathered in Port-Louis for a national celebration to see and to hear him. This gave us an opportunity to share more than 4000 tracts and to share about Jesus with many people who were there on that day. This was made possible by a strategic partnership of brothers & sisters in Christ who served together for this outreach and by various churches and organizations who provided the tracts.
Please pray for all those who received the Good news on this day to grow in their faith and to serve God where He wants them to be.
There were also other interdenominational networks/ partnerships which were facilitated/ started this year such as:

Mauritius Christian Media Center – partnership of Christians involved in Media who want to see Christians well informed, equipped and mobilized to create life changing impact on society for God’s glory. We also had trainings together on ‘How to investigate truth through media’.

Mauritius Empowerment Partnership – partnership of Christians involved in various sectors of our society who want to see our nation to be empowered. We are blessed to have among members both: one who was recently homeless (but no more) and a CEO of several companies.
Praise the Lord for the collaboration among us during the lockdown because of COVID-19 to care for the needy and empower one another. Pray for us as we are discovering one another and discerning our next common actions
