Praise the Lord for the Light-bearers (partnership facilitators) being trained with Charles (one of our partners) and for the Youth partnership they have facilitated in the north region of Zambia and which gave them an opportunity to gather around 400 youths from various churches willing to do youth ministry together.
In Tanzania, Jeremy visited our partners from Incontext International ministries and spent much time with leaders from various churches & organizations to share about Love & Unity and about the Light-bearers ministry. Praise the Lord, we now have a team of Light-bearers there who are translating Daybreak’s materials in Swahili to develop Communication & Member care in their region. Praise the Lord for Tanzanian partnership as through it, several Christians from various churches are ministering and educating children together. And this is their first step towards their vision of an ‘educated and empowered nation’.
In Rwanda, he spent time with several church & organization leaders to share about Love & Unity and the importance of developing Communication & Member care in their regions. He travelled (10 hours by bus) into very poor places in the west of the country to facilitate Light-bearers trainings and to share about Love & Unity with communities there. With Ps Jonas (a light-bearer & contact person), they were able to facilitate an Empowerment (Holistic Development) partnership with leaders from few churches & organizations in this region.
Afterwards he went back to Kigali to facilitate SHAPE assessment in Kinyarwanda with leaders & ministers from various denominations. This was possible through the partnership with Rabagirana ministries (http://rabagirana.org/) who invited him. Through this time, he was able to connect several light-bearers in Rwanda who are now developing the caring & linking ministry there. Praise the Lord for the SHAPE assessment which was completely translated in the local Rwandan language and which is now being facilitated by our partners within various churches to help Christians to better know their God-given callings, find potential light-bearers and see potential partnerships within and across denominations. Pray for Jonas & Simeon and all the light-bearers (facilitators) who are being trained by them.
During his trip to Africa (Tanzania, Rwanda & Kenya), Jeremy was able to connect and spend time with light-bearers to equip and encourage them to develop Communication & Member care in their countries.
